My prunes/dates/figs have a white/brown coating! Have they molded?

Follow

Probably not. A white or brown coating on the fruit can indicate the natural sugaring process in which the sugar can be washed off with water. A black powder or black molding however, is not normal for the fruit, if you discover this, do not consume, and if possible, reach out to us via the contact us form and provide the UPC, Expiration Date and/or Lot Code.
